JPK announce the next NanoBioVIEWS™ International Meeting: a two-day symposium on the application of SPM for Life Sciences

(PresseBox) (Berlin, )
Berlin, 10th July 2008: JPK announces the seventh annual symposium on the applications of scanning probe microscopy (SPM) in areas such as biochemical and medical research. It will be held on the 8-9th October 2008 in Berlin. The forum has become an established “must attend” event for the SPM life science community. Last year, more than 100 scientists from around the world came to Berlin to discuss their results and share scientific knowledge. Now, for 2008, the meeting has been extended to a two-day program to meet the increased demand of the audience.

Speakers have been invited from Europe, Japan and the USA to present ground-breaking results showing the rapid advances in applied SPM technology. Once again, the meeting will feature a poster session where delegates are invited to showcase their work to their peers. With nearly half the delegates presenting data last year, this is surely one of the most interactive scientific meetings on the calendar.

Announcing this year’s meeting, Torsten Jähnke of JPK said he is very excited with the response of attendees asking for a longer meeting to give more time to present their research, “This year’s speakers are world-renowned in the SPM world and we are extremely pleased to be able to host this event once more.”

To learn more or to attend this prestigious meeting, visit the NanoBioVIEWS™ web site: www.nanobioviews.net. With another full house expected, delegates are asked to register on line as soon as possible.

JPK BioAFM | Bruker Nano GmbH

JPK Instruments AG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of nanoanalytic instruments - particularly atomic force microscope (AFM) systems and optical tweezers- for research in life sciences and soft matter.

JPK was recognized as Germany’s fastest growing nanotechnology company in 2007 (Deloitte) and this was demonstrated by the foresight to purchase companies such as lpi and nAmbition enabling rapid time to market for new products such as optical tweezers and automated force spectroscopy systems. From its earliest days applying atomic force microscope (AFM) systems, JPK has recognized the opportunities provided by nanotechnology for application from biophysical to biomedical research, tailoring its instrument platforms to meet user requirements.

Headquartered in Berlin and with operations in Dresden and Cambridge (UK), JPK maintains a global network of distributors and support centers and provides on the spot applications and service support to an ever-growing community of researchers.
