(PresseBox) (Offenburg, )
- Huber Kältemaschinenbau receives the “Top Job” seal for excellent employer qualities

- Wolfgang Clement presents the coveted trophy in Berlin

- Companies score points for employee satisfaction, motivation, and leadership style

Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau GmbH, employees enjoy an extraordinary workplace culture. On February 12th, the company received the respected “Top Job” seal in Berlin from former Federal Economic Minister Wolfgang Clement. The “Top Job” mentor praised the Huber company for its sustainable personnel policies and high level of attractiveness as an employer. This is the first time the temperature control technology manufacturer, from Elgersweier, has been honoured as a top employer. Companies that advocate strongly for healthy workplace cultures are honoured with the “Top Job” seal of quality. This is reflected in the quality of management at the company and in a high level of job satisfaction among the workforce.

Huber won over judges primarily in the categories of employee satisfaction, motivation, and leadership quality in the nationwide employer comparison, which began in 2002. The company, with around 250 employees, stood out for its leadership style marked by flat hierarchies and mutual respect. Collaboration between managers and employees is an important factor for success at Huber. “In our company, leadership means supporting workers in all they do. We invite them, encourage them, and inspire them so that they approach their work with enthusiasm, develop their own ideas, and grow beyond their limits,” reports CEO Daniel Huber, continuing: “We are very proud of our recognition as a top employer, and are glad that our commitment is being honoured in this way. We don’t plan to rest on our laurels. Using the “Top Job” analysis and feedback from our employee survey, we will continue to expand our employer qualities.

Silke Masurat, CEO of zeag GmbH, adds: “The “Top Job” award reflects a sustainable workplace culture that is both healthy and focused on performance. Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau GmbH succeeded in creating a fruitful operating climate through inspiring leadership, trustworthy collaboration, and good working conditions.”

Scientists at the Institut für Führung und Personalmanagement (Institute for Leadership and Personnel Management) at the University of St. Gallen, led by Prof. Heike Bruch, completed an online employee survey, which was weighted to determine two thirds of the final results. To assess the final third, business and personnel managers were asked about the methods and instruments they used in human resources work.

103 mid-sized companies applied for the current round of “Top Job,” resulting in a total of 19,884 employees surveyed. About half of these work in family-owned companies. 21 domestic and 11 global market leaders were among the top employers. On average, these companies employ 305 workers, and the percentage of women in leadership positions averaged 23%.

Comparison of Companies – “Top Job”:

Since 2002, mid-sized companies have been working alongside “Top Job” to improve their qualities as employers. The project also includes a seal the best employers can use to display their achievements. zeag GmbH, headquartered in Konstanz on Lake Constance, is responsible for the organization. Dr. Heike Bruch and her team at the Institut für Führung und Personalmanagement at the University of St. Gallen head up scientific direction of benchmarking. Former Federal Economic Minister Wolfgang Clement is a project mentor.

The organizers – zeag GmbH:

The Zentrum für Arbeitgeberattraktivität (Center for Employer Attractiveness) was first founded in 2015. Under the rubric of the Zentrum für Arbeitgeberattraktivität, former compamedia CEO and zeag founder Silke Masurat heads up two projects: “Ethics in Busines” and “Top Job.” zeag uses these to support mid-sized companies that are achieving great things in the areas of personnel management and corporate social responsibility, or that would like to improve their performance in these areas.
