CeiliX Debuts Patented InfinityCrane at LogiMAT 2024

Hall: Eingang Ost, Stand-Nr.: EO91A / The World’s First Omnidirectional Overhead Crane

(PresseBox) (Euskirchen, )
Hall: Eingang Ost, Stand-Nr.: EO91A - The high-tech company CeiliX, which is revolutionizing the logistics and manufacturing industries with its automation solutions, will present the InfinityCrane to a wide professional audience for the first time at LogiMAT 2024 in Stuttgart. This patented modular overhead crane system already enables crane use in areas and for functions that were previously not covered by existing cranes. In the near future, CeiliX will allow robots to move freely along the ceiling, thus providing greater efficiency, flexibility, and space savings in production and logistics.

A World First for the Logistics of Tomorrow

The CeiliX technology enables omnidirectional, unrestricted movement along the ceiling. Its first product is the InfinityCrane, which can travel completely freely and without spatial limitations in any direction—forward, backward, sideways, or diagonally. Even obstacles such as pillars in the room are no longer an issue. The core of CeiliX’ technology is a modular rail system mounted on the ceiling. It can be installed quickly, adapted flexibly to any space using a modular principle, and easily expanded as requirements grow. Multiple InfinityCranes can be deployed simultaneously in the same area without interfering with each other. New functions thus become possible, such as turning objects in midair. Significant Space Savings for Factories, Warehouses, and Production Facilities The CeiliX technology goes well beyond crane applications. Equipped with various tools such as robotic arms, lifting devices, and sensors, these ceiling vehicles will in the future take on tasks that previously required separate machines or manual labour. In many cases, 30 to 50 percent of storage or production floor space can be saved by moving transport routes from the floor to the ceiling. This not only boosts efficiency but also enhances safety for everyone involved.

“Our goal is clear: a world in which production and logistics are no longer confined to the floor. By opening the ceiling as a new dimension for free movement, we are revolutionizing processes in factories, warehouses, and businesses—and creating a previously unseen level of efficiency, flexibility, and value creation,” explains Mathias Entenmann, Co-Founder and CEO of CeiliX.

From Space Travel to Industry

The roots of the CeiliX technology lie in space research: it was developed to allow astronauts to train under realistic, simulated gravity conditions and soon found its way into the industry. Since 2024, the world’s first prototype has been in use at the CeiliX showroom in Euskirchen—and it has been inspiring companies around the world.

CeiliX at LogiMAT: Live Demonstrations and Expert Discussions

LogiMAT 2024 visitors can discover the advantages of CeiliX’ technology firsthand at the CeiliX booth (Entrance East / stand EO91A). Live demonstrations of the InfinityCrane and the first robotic applications will showcase the system’s flexibility and performance, while the CeiliX team will be on hand for individual consultations. Companies looking to revolutionize their logistics processes are warmly invited to attend.
