Edmund Optics® (EO), führender Anbieter von optischen Komponenten, bietet neue TECHSPEC® LC ("Low Cost" - kostengünstige) YAG-Strahlaufweiter mit fester Vergrößerung an. Sie bestehen aus einem einfachen Design mit 2 Elementen (Galilei-Aufbau), erreichen für Strahldurchmesser von 1 - 2 mm eine beugungsbegrenzte Leistung (der exakte Wert hängt von dem jeweiligen Modell ab) und werden zu einem günstigen Preis angeboten. Strahlaufweiter werden zur Aufweitung kollimierter Strahlen verwendet, sodass ein größerer Laserstrahl mit geringerer Divergenz entsteht und eignen sich perfekt für Anwendungen wie Laserscanning, Lasermaterialbearbeitung, Interferometrie und Fernerkundung.
