Im Zuge der Konsolidierung des Marktes für digitale Röntgensysteme arbeiten die Unternehmen EXAMION GmbH aus Fellbach und piXelmed Medizin- und Röntgentechnik GmbH aus Brühl zukünftig unabhängig voneinander. Beide Unternehmen waren bisher über den Vertrieb von digitalen Röntgensystemen miteinander verbunden. Als unabhängige Einheiten können sich die beiden erfolgreich im Markt tätigen Unternehmen auf dem Gebiet ihrer jeweiligen Kernkompetenzen noch gezielter weiterentwickeln. Zur konsequenten Umsetzung der Strategie wurden Anteile der EXAMION GmbH an der EXAMION Medizin- und Röntgentechnik GmbH ausgelöst. Die Firmierung der ehemaligen EXAMION Medizin- und Röntgentechnik GmbH unter dem Namen piXelmed Medizin- und Röntgentechnik GmbH besteht seit dem 01.10.2018.
