GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH is introducing a tool that allows the user to program a keyboard controller matrix himself. The controller boards of the GCK-978 series are ideal for popular technologies such as membrane, contact, and rubber keyboards. When the keyboard controller is connected to the USB interface of a Windows XP computer, up to 160 keys can be assigned through two function levels with 8x20 matrix dots each. Peripheral devices such as a touchpad, trackball, card reader, or even a display (in preparation) can be connected and set up with these tools.
