Moxas Innovation vereint einen industriellen Geräteserver mit einem voll funktionstüchtigen Managed Ethernet Switch: Der NPort S8455I-MM-SC verfügt über 2 Glasfasereingänge und 4 serielle RS-232/422/485-Ports. Das platzsparende Gerät ist strom- und somit auch kostensparend.

NPort S8455I-MM-SC besitzt alle Geräterserver-Funktionen der NPort 5000 Serie. Es kann bestehende serielle Geräte durch Anbindung von bis zu 4 seriellen Geräten an jeden der 5 Ethernet-Ports vernetzen. Dies ist mit wenig Konfigurationsaufwand möglich. Die Datenübertragung zwischen der seriellen und Ethernet-Schnittstelle erfolgt bidirektional.

Der integrierte und voll-funktionstüchtige Ethernet Switch des NPort® S8455I-MM-SC unterstützt QoS, IGMP-Snooping/GMRP, VLAN, Port Trunking, SNMPv1/v2c/v3 und IEEE 802.1X für das Management praktisch
