Within different research projects, at the Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI) the specific development of knotless net-structures and the construction of a net-testing device took place at the same time. Over several stages of development reproducible and application oriented tests, performed on the constructed net-testing device on various net-structures, have now been made possible.
With the achievement of the necessary routine an almost unique net-testing facility worldwide is available at the STFI.
