Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) is expanding its product range for ASIsafe with a new, safe compact module from the K45F series. With the K45F 2F-DI LS (light sensor) module, electronic safety sensors with testing semiconductor outputs can be integrated in AS-Interface networks. These include contact-free protective devices such as active, optoelectronic standard light grids and light curtains (type 2/type 4 according to IEC/EN 61496-1, -2). This enables the user to connect even standard devices which do not have their own interfaces.
