Measuring inert gases and hydrogen in corrosive gases

A new gas analyzer from Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) detects the concentration of hydrogen and inert gases in corrosive gases. The Calomat 62 analyzer measures gas components such as H2, N2, Cl2, HCl or NH3 in binary or pseudo-binary mixes. It is therefore suitable for measuring tasks such as those found in chlorine-alkali electrolysis, steel production and processing, ammonia synthesis, fertilizer production, and also in LNG (liquefied natural gas) plants. The Calomat 62 supplements the Calomat 6 gas analyzer, which is the counterpart for measuring non-corrosive gases.
