4JET entwickelt Lasersysteme für die Oberflächenvorbereitung, Reinigung und Funktionalisierung empfindlicher technischer Oberflächen, sowie für die Mikrobearbeitung von Glas und dünnen Schichten.

Zu den Kernmärkten gehören die Photovoltaik und die technische Glasbearbeitung, die Reifenindustrie und E-Mobilität, sowie die Luftfahrtindustrie.


Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2006 hat das Unternehmen einzigartige Prozesstechnologien entwickelt, wie z.B. das PearlCut-Glasschneideverfahren, die LEAF-Technologie zur Oberflächenmodifikation durch Laserinterferenzstrukturierung und eine Reihe von Laserverfahren zur Werkzeugreinigung, Oberflächenvorbereitung, oder Produktrückverfolgung.

Das Unternehmen beschäftigt über 240 Spezialisten, darunter zahlreiche Ingenieure und Naturwissenschaftlerinnen, in seinem Hauptsitz in Alsdorf (Deutschland), seinem Standort in Krailling (Deutschland) und in seinen Niederlassungen in Atlanta (USA) und Shanghai (China). 4JET hält über 150 Patente und Schutzrechte und investiert regelmäßig mehr als 10% des Umsatzes in Forschung und Entwicklung.
