AutoStore, gegründet 1996, ist eine Roboter-Technologie Firma, die die Cube Storage Automation; die dichteste, existierende Lagerautomatisierung, erfunden hat und ständig weiterentwickelt. Unser Fokus ist, Software und Hardware mit den menschlichen Fähigkeiten zu kombinieren, um die Zukunft der Lagerhaltung zu gestalten. AutoStore ist ein globales Unternehmen mit mehr als 1.000 Installationen in 46 Ländern und einer Vielzahl von Branchen. Alle Systeme werden von einem Netzwerk qualifizierter Integratoren, die wir “Partner” nennen, vertrieben, entwickelt, installiert und gewartet. Der Hauptsitz ist in Nedre Vats, Norwegen, mit Niederlassungen in Oslo (Norwegen), den USA, UK, Deutschland, Frankreich, Spanien, Italien, Österreich, Südkorea, Japan und Singapur.

Das AutoStore-System besteht aus dem Grid (Aluminium-Gerüst), Robotern, Bins (Behältern), Ports (Arbeitsstationen) und dem Controller (Steuerung). Die Behälter werden im Grid gestapelt. Die Roboter fahren auf Schienen an der Oberseite des Grids und bringen Behälter, die benötigt werden, zu Port. Dort lagern Mitarbeiter Produkte ein oder entnehmen, kommissionieren, etikettieren, verpacken und verschicken sie. Ein Controller steuert den gesamten Vorgang.
