Train to perform: Rheinmetall takes the stage at I/ITSEC with innovative, highly advanced simulation and training solutions

(pressebox) (Düsseldorf, 2016-11-29) Under the motto "Train to perform – Land, Air, Sea, Joint", Rheinmetall will be on hand at I/ITSEC 2016 in Orlando from 28 to 30 November 2016, showcasing innovative new solutions in the field of simulation and training.

Premiering at the show is the world’s first driving simulator to combine high-end Rheinmetall simulation technology with readily available commercial visualization software. This demonstrator makes it possible to simulate complex traffic flows and situations in an urban environment, bringing these together in a highly realistic depiction.

Live simulation is another major focal point. Among other things, the Simulation & Training business unit of Rheinmetall Defence Electronics will be presenting Legatus, a versatile modular system.

Legatus underscores Rheinmetall’s status as one of the world’s foremost developers of future-proof live simulation technology with three main characteristics: tough, independent, smart. Tough – because the technology can be deployed even in the most punishing environments; independent – because the wireless, mobile training solutions free users from the need for fixed infrastructure; smart – because intelligent, state-of-the-art IT solutions create an effective, highly authentic training experience.

Moreover, visitors to I/ITSEC can learn about other made-to-measure, high-performance solutions such as the simulation technology for the Embraer KC390 transport plane, the Cargo Hold Trainer Enhanced (CHT-E) for the A400M transport aircraft, and advanced combat and gunnery simulators for the Leopard 2 main battle tank. Of course, Rheinmetall experts are happy to answer questions about all of the Group’s activities in the field of simulation and training.

We look forward to welcoming you to Stand 1000 in Hall A2 at I/ITSEC 2016 in Orlando!
