"Dare to Be: Cape Town's Tech Women Share Their Stories" is the title of the event for this year’s International Women's Day. On 8 March 2023 Accso is partnering with Google Developer Group and Google Women Tech Makers to provide women in the tech industry with a platform to hear their stories, learn how to conquer imposter syndrome, and present ideas in an impactful way. The event offers women an opportunity to share their experiences and network.
The event will take place at Accso Cape Town’s office. In addition, the event is going to be streamed globally to reach women anywhere in South Africa or the world. The event starts at 6 pm (GMT+2) and there will be three inspiring women speakers: Michelle Kuttel (UCT), Catherine Lückhoff (20fifty) and Nicole Heinze (Accso).

Accso's first international office was inaugurated on 16 February 2023. Adam Wayland, managing director of Accso South Africa (Pty) Ltd., and Jürgen Artmann, founder of Accso GmbH, cut the ribbon to officially open the office to business. The Cape Town Team has grown to over 17 seasoned software engineers since its inception in May 2022 and has been hugely successful in working with their German colleagues on client projects so far.
As part of Accso's strategy to go international, the Cape Town team will develop new clients in new markets outside of Germany, ranging from the UK to other European Union countries, including Asia and Africa. In addition, the Cape Town office enriches Accso´s German offices with active professional and cultural exchange. Finally, the office actively supports local engineering communities with speakers and provides the office as the venue to host their events.
SA-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Accso South Africa focuses on working together with the SA-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Adam Wayland and Jürgen Artmann met with Anja Tambusso-Ferraz, the Regional Representative of the Western Cape. Discussions on ways to work together were opened up.
