Das geht aus einer vom ACE Auto Club Europa probeweise im Internet durchgeführten "Urabstimmung" hervor.
3881 Automobilisten beteiligten sich daran, gab der ACE am Freitag in Stuttgart bekannt. Der Club hatte angesichts explodierender Spritpreise gefragt:" Wer oder was hilft uns langfristig am ehesten aus der Bredouille?" Zusammengenommen 47 Prozent setzen danach auf alternative Antriebe, sparsamere Motoren, den Umstieg auf Bus und Bahn sowie auf einen ökonomischeren Fahrstil.
Kein Vertrauen in die Politik
Die geringste Hilfe erwarten Autofahrer offensichtlich von der Politik. Nur 1 Prozent glaubt, Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel könnte etwas gegen hohe Kraftstoffpreise ausrichten. Auf die Wiedereinführung der alten Pendlerpauschale setzen lediglich 3 Prozent und auf eine Intervention des Bundeskartellamtes hoffen nur knapp 5 Prozent.
1 Liter Diesel vor drei Jahren 22 Cent billiger
Der ACE selbst hält nichts von einem boykottartigen Tankstellenstreik und wertet das Votum dazu vor allem als ein"Zeichen des Zorns". Die daraus ablesbare Stimmung dürfe aber weder von der Mineralölwirtschaft noch von der Politik unterschätzt werden, mahnte der ACE. Vor drei Jahren (7. September 2005) hatten sich in einer ähnlichen ACE-Befragung lediglich 36 Prozent für einen Boykott von Tankstellen als Mittel gegen hohe Spritpreise ausgesprochen. Damals kostete der Liter Diesel im Schnitt 1,13 Euro und war damit 22 Cent billiger als heute (22. Aug). Nur 6 Cent hingegen beträgt der Preisunterschied bei einem Liter Super Benzin: Im September 2005 mussten laut ACE dafür im Schnitt 1,38 Euro bezahlt werden, drei Jahre später 1,44 Euro. Nach Darstellung des Clubs hat sich der Preis für einen Barrel Rohöl binnen drei Tagen um mehr als 8 Prozent von 111 auf jetzt über 120 Dollar verteuert.
