Darmstadt, 28.01.2015: Visitors to the 3rd IT&Media FUTUREcongress event on 19.02.2015 will have the exclusive opportunity to have a closer look at GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research’s “L-CSC” supercomputer. The supercomputer was unofficially crowned in November as the world’s most energy efficient high performance computer. It was awarded 1st place in the “Green500” category as the fastest supercomputer.
The 3rd IT&Media FUTUREcongress will take place on 19.02.2015. Ticket holders will be able to view the supercomputer and its technology already on the day before.
Visitors will additionally have the opportunity to view the DARZ – Darmstadt Data centre in the former Hesse Landesbank building, as well as the ESOC (European Space Operations Centre) and the ESA control centre, “Europe’s gateway to space”.
After booking tickets, interested guests can sign up for one of the three special events by e-mail via the IT&Media event organisers. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
The organisers of the 3rd IT&Media event in Darmstadt have particularly focussed on the importance of the site ‘s strength in innovation within the region.
In addition to the 32 best practice presentations on the 5 most important economical sectors, there will also be a presentation on the 19.02.2015 on the “L-CSC” supercomputer. Running parallel to this, over 140 exhibitors and cooperation partners will be presenting their latest trends and best-practice solutions for companies at the largest IT management event in the Rhine-Main region.
