Ultra Compact Pressure Sensor for Ultra-Low Pressures – Board-Mount Pressure Sensor Series AMS 6832 with Pressure Ranges from 125 up to 1000 Pascal

With the AMS 6832 series Analog Microelectronics GmbH, Mainz presents a new board-mount pressure sensor family in a compact DIP-6 plastic package. The AMS 6832 are suitable for ultra-low pressure measurements in a temperature range from -25 up to 85 °C. They have a ratiometric voltage output from 0.5 to 4.5 V and feature an additional I2C interface that can be used to read digital pressure and temperature measurement data with 18 bit resolution.

The available pressure ranges reach from 0 … 250 Pa (2.5 mbar) up to 0 … 100 Pa (10 mbar) for differential pressure applications and from -125 … 125 Pa up to -1000 … 1000 Pa (10 mbar) for bidirectional differential pressure measurements. Due to the membrane-based measurement principle and a burst pressure of 20 kPa (200 mbar) the sensors from the AMS 6832 series are suitable for ultra-low pressure applications in HVAC technology, building automation, medical technology and the industrial sector, where high precision measurements with simultanous miniaturization are required.
