Im Vorfeld schildert Herr Schmutz die Beweggründe dafür, sein Projektvorhaben als Portallösung zu realisieren und dabei auf Liferay zu setzen. Herr Krauß geht auf die technischen Details von Liferay EE 6.1 ein. Außerdem erklärt er, wie sich Liferay EE 6.1 mit Apache Solr, einer Open Source Plattform für Enterprise Search, und Piwik, einer Software für Webstatistik und Usertracking, kombinieren lässt.
Über Anwendungsbeispiele werden schließlich ausgewählte Basisfunktionen der Audi Shopping World wie Indexierung und Suche, Teaser-Steuerung oder Produktdarstellung gezeigt. Eingegangen wird zudem auf Features für Shop-Betreiber wie Administration, Rollen und Rechte, Produktpflege, Bestellungen oder Umsatzreporting.
Verdeutlicht werden im Vortrag zudem zahlreiche Vorteile für
- AUDI AG als Shop- und Portalbetreiber (u. a. Multichannel-Shop-Plattform für verschiedene Verkaufskanäle (B2B, B2C…) bis auf Produktebene einstellbar, jederzeit aktuelle Darstellung des Produktportfolios gemäß Corporate Identity und Corporate Design sowie zentrale Administrationsmöglichkeit – auch von Fachabteilungen);
- Kunden der AUDI AG (u. a. einheitliches Erscheinungsbild, erhöhte Usability, schnelles Aufsetzen und unkomplizierte Inbetriebnahme der Shops).
