This will enable farmers and contractors to exercise optimum control over their equipment and operating processes using FarmPilot. Equipment and operating data can be tracked online and coordinated regardless of manufacturer via the portal.
In the development phase, an initial prototype was tested during the 2010 corn harvest. In the coming weeks, the first CCI terminals with FarmPilot will be used by selected customers in field tests. General release to farmers and contractors is planned for fall 2011.
The objective of the Competence Center ISOBUS e.V. (CCI) and its member companies Amazone, Bergmann, Grimme, Krone, Kuhn, Lemken, Pöttinger and Rauch is to implement the ISOBUS standard in practice across all manufacturers. The Competence Center ISOBUS e.V. (CCI) was founded on February 12, 2009 by Amazone, Grimme, Krone, Kuhn, Lemken and Rauch with the aim to implement and support the use of ISOBUS in agricultural technology.
The ISOBUS will continue over the next years and become increasingly relevant. CCI wants to accompany its development and help shape its future.
