The international industry conference Publishers’ Forum will celebrate its tenth anniversary next year in Berlin. 350 professionals from book and magazine publishers are expected to attend this exclusive forum for decision makers. The event has established itself as the ‘publishing event of the year’ not only across Germany, but also internationally within the industry.
Triggered by the digital revolution and the radical shift in media behavior, publishers currently find themselves facing enormous change. Besides global networking, strategic examination of the most important international publishing trends and the search for successful business and sales models for publishing 2.0 are key objectives. The top themes of the publishing event will therefore be: Thinking beyond the book, networked publishing, metadata, digital first, and cloud computing. The biggest special feature in 2013 will be the English program, which will be offered in parallel to the familiar structure of the German program. Participants will therefore have the choice between a German and an English program at all times during the two-day event.
Acclaimed international speakers will also be present during the bilingual conference. Nobel Prize for literature winner Orhan Pamuk has been invited, for example. In addition, the German TV broadcaster 3sat will report about the event in its program ‘Kulturzeit.’
Diana Timm, who is responsible for marketing public, professional, and academic publishing solutions at arvato Systems, is excited about the continued close cooperation with Klopotek: “We intend to keep up with the latest developments and remain in close dialog with our customers through this cooperation and the 10th Publishers’ Forum. During turbulent times, we offer publishers both secure guidance as well as innovative horizons.”
