Germany's 30 "Energy Efficiency Networks" will meet on May 09, 2012 in Bielefeld for the 'Netzwerk Dialog West' meeting. The event is meant to be an ideal place to exchange experiences and information.
The initiative is adopted by the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). During the event, arvato Systems' Marcus Bärenfänger will present experiences and achievements around the new air-conditioning technology (including cold aisle containment of server racks) that was successfully implemented within an arvato Systems data center in Gütersloh and that led to a clear diminishment of energy consumption.
Resource conservation has always been very important to arvato Systems as one of the largest data center operators in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region, and therefore, one with high power requirements. Numerous measures to improve energy efficiency have been implemented in recent years. arvato Systems is an active member in one of the 30 nation-wide LEEN-networks.
