The SMART energy software platform is a technology framework that enables various applications to share specific modules and central system infrastructure components. It offers components that measure and analyze energy generation and consumption as well as manage facilities, for example. It also enables companies to manage and monitor their technical facilities and processes and it supports the capturing of measured data on SMART metering gateways.
This allows us to offer energy suppliers a modular package that provides smart metering solutions, maps energy management processes, and includes a user-friendly web portal for end clients in the energy sector at the same time. The system’s underlying big data technology will also make it possible to integrate and analyze data from various sources in the future – such as weather, rate, and consumption data – and use this data to offer smarter services, such as flexible payment plans, for example.
arvato Systems can provide an expanded, intelligent, full-service offer tailored specifically to each client’s needs by combining the new services with the solutions and services that are already positioned successfully in the market.
Matthias Moeller, CEO of the arvato Systems Group: “One of our primary objectives as a powerful and innovative IT service provider for the public utilities sector is to support the digital transformation taking place in the energy market. The acquisition of the software platform from Arkadon allows us to continue down this path and offer our clients a comprehensive solutions package with the SMART architecture that fully prepares them for the energy market today and into the future. Platform-based services with the flexibility of single apps and modules are the future. Furthermore, these services can be integrated with cloud services or be run on one of our dedicated German data centers.”
