Klaus Heck is on board as Managing Director of Batteryuniversity GmbH (BU) since March 1, 2018. His main focus will be on the sales development of the BU as a profit center. Klaus Heck was already employed as Sales Director of BMZ GmbH from 2006 to 2016 and brings his extensive experience in the field of electronics industry as well as in the field of lithium-ion battery technology into his new position.
The BU is an accredited test laboratory for battery and environmental testing and checks the quality and safety of products. The company has modern test benches including for automotive batteries such as electric cars or electric forklifts. The BU carries out development-accompanying and standard-based tests as well as certifications according to UN 38.3, IEC 62133, IEC 62619, ECE R-100.
Batteryuniversity offers basic training in lithium-ion battery technology and battery management systems. The training offer of the BU is aimed at battery developers and users, project managers and product managers as well as purchasers and logisticians. The BU is also the organizer of the Battery Experts Forums.
