Samples perfectly protected by ULTRA.GUARDTM

BINDER further improves ultra low temperature freezers

(PresseBox) (Tuttlingen, )
With the introduction of ULTRA.GUARDTM technology, the ultra low temperature freezers from BINDER open a new dimension in safety and reliability, making them particularly suitable for use in laboratories and hospitals. At the same time, the high-end units have a high degree of user-friendliness second to none in the field. Developers have even thought about the environment. With the introduction of the new technology, the world market leader in Tuttlingen, Germany, BINDER has been able to reduce the already low energy consumption of the UF V ultra low temperature units even further.

An ultra low temperature freezer not only has to reliably cool samples. More and more, today's laboratory also requires practical, user-friendly solutions for the safety and ease of use of devices. With ULTRA.GUARDTM, BINDER has risen to the challenge with a pioneering and visionary response.

Unmatched safety

Ultra low temperature freezers with ULTRA.GUARDTM are of particular interest to facilities with high demands on the security of sample material. The scope ranges from public testing facilities to hospitals to universities and contract laboratories. For example, the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany, successfully uses two UF V 700 freezers for storing samples. Apart from the stable performance characteristics of the BINDER UF V freezers, optional features such as CO2 backup cooling or a GSM alarm system ensure an additional degree of safety. Whether patient samples, plant tissue or food-related samples, all samples are reliably protected with ULTRA.GUARDTM.

Safe and convenient handling

Thanks to personalized access control with RFID key card, only authorized persons have access to the unit. All users are automatically entered in the user log. BINDER combines this particular degree of security with extremely innovative solutions for ease of use and data management. The multifunctional control panel of the UF V freezers allows authorized users to program and control the unit, but also allows convenient and secure data management using the RFID reader. In daily operation, BINDER UF V units are quiet with a pleasantly low sound pressure level of just 50 dB(A). Thanks to standard casters, the units are also mobile and can be easily moved by just one employee as required.

Reliable application

Thanks to large-surface vacuum insulation, BINDER ULTRA.GUARDTM freezers cool samples in a reliable and energy-efficient manner. The advanced design of the freezers from Tuttlingen, Germany, maximize the usable chamber, making space available for up to 52800 samples in one BINDER UF V freezer. With regard for the specific needs of its customers, the Tuttlingen family-owned company also offers an exceptional warranty of, for example, up to six years. Customer service is available in Germany, France and Great Britain 24 hours a day and can provide a replacement unit within 24 hours on request. BINDER customers enjoy reliable protection of their samples even if a unit fails.

Low maintenance and environmentally friendly

The maintenance requirements for ULTRA.GUARDTM freezers are amazingly low. Even the air filters are easy to clean from the front of the unit. The available deicing kit also simplifies maintenance. In daily operation, BINDER ultra low temperature freezers also distinguish themselves by their low energy consumption. The UF V 500 only requires 12.8 kWh per day and is thereby one of the most energy-efficient units in its class. BINDER has also been able to reduce refrigerant consumption by 20%. If the hospital or laboratory has a cooling water system, BINDER UF V freezers can also be supplied with water cooling, thereby reducing heat and operating noise significantly. The heated water can even be repurposed. The units thus protect the environment and keep operating costs low.
