Vor allem Jüngere setzen klar auf die E-Mail. Jeder Zweite (46 Prozent) der 18- bis 29-Jährigen würde E-Mail oder Online-Formular wählen, bei den 30- bis 44-Jährigen sind es sogar 52 Prozent. Dagegen geben nur 22 bzw. 21 Prozent an, das persönliche Gespräch vorzuziehen. "Das Internet ermöglicht und erleichtert die Teilhabe am politischen Geschehen und stärkt damit unsere Demokratie", sagt Kempf.
Nach der BITKOM-Studie sind 37 Prozent der Bundesbürger der Meinung, der Einsatz des Internets durch die politischen Parteien werde entscheidenden Einfluss auf den Ausgang der Bundestagswahl 2013 haben. Unter den 18- bis 29-Jährigen ist sogar fast die Hälfte (48 Prozent) dieser Ansicht.
Methodik: Im Auftrag des BITKOM hat das Marktforschungsinstitut Forsa 1.000 Bundesbürger ab 18 Jahren befragt. Die Umfrage ist repräsentativ.
