Lasting Performance

At Chillventa 2014, BITZER showcased its new LHE condensing units, which already fulfill the EU’s new 2015 Ecodesign Directive

(PresseBox) (Sindelfingen, )
Compressor specialist BITZER introduced specialist visitors from around the world to its key new developments at Chillventa 2014 from October 14 to 16. One of the highlights at the BITZER stand (hall 4, stands 310 and 408) were the optimized air cooled LHE condensing units with ECOLINE reciprocating compressors, which already fulfill the EU’s 2015 requirements.

The new universal LHE condensing units are ideal for a whole host of applications across all climates. With placements ranging from 4 to 221 m³/h, the integrated reciprocating compressors of the tried-and-tested ECOLINE series boast exceptional efficiency and modern capacity control. The condensing units already fulfill the efficiency values required by the EU’s Ecodesign Directive, which will come into effect on January 1, 2015. In order to fulfill these more stringent requirements, BITZER has replaced the alternating current (AC) fans with electronically commutated (EC) fans featuring permanent magnets in the air cooled LHE condensing units.

Optimized Efficiency
An innovative mini-channel heat exchanger increases the capacity of the condensing unit without increasing the size. Thanks to identical interfaces, the mini-channel is also backward compatible in case of replacement. These heat exchangers offer outstanding heat exchange and, thanks to the five-millimeter pipe technology, a volume that’s smaller than that of their predecessors, which in turn also reduces weight. The robust copper and aluminum construction makes them exceptionally weather-resistant. Another advantage is that the EC fans offer speed adjustment and can be regulated using conventional regulators.
When it comes to air conditioning, medium temperature and low temperature applications, the LHE condensing units offer excellent flexibility. This also applies to refrigerants: the units are compatible with R134a, R404A/R507A, R407A, R407C, R407F, other HFCs and HFO and HFO/HFC mixes.
