"We have seen a strong sales performance from BMW Group in the UK this year and, with sales passing the 100,000 mark, BMW is on track to secure its position as the UK's leading premium brand for the year," said Tim Abbott, Managing Director of BMW Group UK. "Both BMW and MINI brands have outperformed the market year to date and this is being driven by the 3 Series which became the UK's sixth best-selling car in November and the new 5 Series saloon models. The MINI Countryman is sold out until next spring and demand is already looking very high for the newly-launched 5 Series Touring and X3.
"BMW Motorrad is also performing well, with motorcycle sales up on last year, and new models winning national awards."
BMW Brand Sales
From January to November, sales of BMW brand vehicles increased by 12.3 per cent with a total of 102,045 vehicles representing just over 5 per cent of the UK market.

BMW Motorrad sales increased by 13.8 per cent in the first 11 months of this year to 6,546 from 5,752 motorcycles in the same period last year. The launch of the S 1000 RR earlier this year was met with critical acclaim, Fast Bike awarded the S 1000 RR Sports Bike of the Year, recently MCN awarded the bike best Sports Bike over 751cc as well as the converted Machine of the Year. Motorcycle News also awarded the R 1200 RT best Touring bike of the year. Motorrad currently has four motorcycles in the top ten, more than any other brand.
