The new building offers approx. 26,000 sqft for use by production, warehousing and also as office space. BMZ USA has substantially grown it’s US business in the last two years, constantly adding new staff and installing assembly lines to support US-based battery pack production. In total, BMZ has invested more than $ 2 million in ultra-modern production equipment in addition to the conversion of the building. Moving to the new premises is the most recent step that BMZ has taken to grow their US business. Since 2017, BMZ USA has created 30 new jobs in Virginia Beach and has announced to hire a further 20 more people before end of the year.
Looking towards the upcoming 24 months, Kai Schoeffler, General Manager of BMZ USA said: “We will invest about $3 million in equipment and fill up our production floor with additional automated assembly lines in order to both relocate existing lines from overseas to the US and assemble some of the currently being developed products here in Virginia Beach. Our engineering team will more than double, not only increasing manpower, but also adding to our expertise, so we can work on new exciting projects from all industries.”
