The BOXER-6840-CFL is based on a C246 Intel® chipset and is built for high-performance computing in industrial embedded applications. The platform is equipped with 8th and 9th generation Intel® Core™ and Xeon® processors (formerly Coffee Lake/Coffee Lake Refresh) and supports CPUs with a TDP of up to 71 watts. The hardware features an innovative thermal design that allows even the high-end processor to operate at temperatures from -20° C to 60° C without performance loss. In addition, the system supports up to 128 GB of memory, allowing for unthrottled processing power.
The BOXER-6840-CFL can be expanded effortlessly and features one PCIe (x4) slot and one PCIe (x16) slot to support GPUs, AI accelerators, frame grabbers and more. The embedded PC supports actively cooled cards up to 250 mm in length, allowing flexible deployment for individual application requirements.
A wide selection of inputs and outputs allows the hardware to be connected to a variety of sensors, controllers, cameras and more. This includes six USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, four serial ports, three Gigabit Ethernet ports and optional 8-bit DIO. The chassis is designed to fit more easily into machine cabinets or other tight spaces, allowing more flexibility in deployment.
"The BOXER-6840-CFL offers performance and expandability for demanding industrial applications," said Gabor Paxian, Senior Account Manager at BRESSNER Technology. "By adding expansion cards or using NVIDIA® graphics cards, our customers can deploy our systems for industrial automation, machine builders and AI edge servers for IIoT implementations."
