Hall: 1 / Stand number: C50
At LogiMAT 2025, BSS Materialflussgruppe will showcase realized reference projects, highlighting its expertise as a general contractor for turnkey systems and solutions in intralogistics. Another highlight at booth C50 in Hall 1 is the FLOWPICKER®, a patented high-performance picking solution for various types of packages with integrated, ergonomically designed workstations. Also presented will be the expanded general contractor offering, which now includes the construction of logistics and administrative buildings.
Award-winning and Innovative Solutions for Intralogistics
For almost 30 years, BSS Bohnenberg GmbH has been specializing in the planning, development, and implementation of customized intralogistics solutions. Its broad range of products and services includes automated small parts warehouses, high-bay warehouses, sorting systems, and picking systems. Additionally, customized warehouse control and management software is implemented. BSS-LMS ensures synchronized processes and guarantees performance according to demand. At the same time, it serves as the "mastermind" of a fully digitized information flow.
The expertise of BSS was recently underscored by a special award: The EHI Retail Institute and Lebensmittel Zeitung recognized the company as a "Top Retail Supplier 2024."
FLOWPICKER® - Space-saving, Ergonomic, Flexibly Scalable, High Throughput, Cost-effective
The specially developed fully automated high-performance picking system has proven successful in numerous projects and is highly valued by customers for its flexibility and efficiency. The FLOWPICKER® can be integrated into existing distribution centers according to specific requirements regarding height and number of lanes. It can transport containers, cartons, fruit and vegetable crates, buckets, bags, and more without additional transport accessories like trolleys. "Throughput of several thousand picks per hour is possible without the use of rack handling devices or shuttle vehicles," says Martin Gräb, Managing Director of BSS Bohnenberg GmbH.
The tracking of items is done virtually, meaning exclusively through the material flow control, eliminating the need for barcodes, barcode readers, or transponders. The workstations are designed ergonomically: employees stand on height-adjustable platforms and can move packaging units effortlessly to their destination.
Enhanced Service Portfolio for Comprehensive Solutions
"To meet the growing demand from our customers, we have strategically expanded our portfolio. As part of site development, we now also take on comprehensive construction services," explains Martin Gräb. "As a general contractor, we handle all key areas—from high-bay floor slabs to fire and complex separation walls, as well as the construction of logistics and administrative buildings."
The demand for modernization projects remains strong. The BSS Retrofit department, which has been successful since 2018, combines extensive expertise to bring existing systems from both customers and third-party suppliers up to the latest technical standards. This service has become an essential part of the portfolio and is in high demand. www.bss.gmbh
