BTD opens office in Rio de Janeiro - establishing BTD do Brasil Ltda.

With the Worldcup 2010 in South Africa finished, the sporting world will turn its attention to Brazil where the preparations for the FIFA WorldCup 2014 and the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro are quickly developing.

Ahead of the upcoming developments, BTD have just completed the founding process of its South American subsidiary and have established its new office in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. The office is situated in the district of Botafogo, only a step away from the world famous sugarloaf. Lead by Bernd Ingerling and our Brazilian COO, BTD will setup a local team in Brazil to manage the upcoming projects developing stadium and media technology as well as further consulting projects.

With their strong presence in Brazil, the BTD founders Stefan Leibhard and Kersten Kroehl have decided to take a long term active engagement in South America and specifically Brazil beyond the World Cup 2014. Stefan Leibhard stated: "Brazil is a Soccer Nation and offers limitless potential for businessdevelopment around football. Therefore Brazil is an important country for BTD where it is essential to focus on planning beyond the upcoming events and to provide substantial legacy effects for after the WorldCup 2014 and the Olympic Games 2016. We are proud to contribute and look forward to the demanding projects ahead."
