Die Windbranche ist einer jener Wirtschaftsbereiche, der noch immer hohe Zuwächse verzeichnet und deshalb - in den Worten von Bundespräsident Horst Köhler - "Hoffnung auf eine gute Zukunft" gibt. Um dies selbstbewusst und nachdrücklich nach außen zu vermitteln, setzt der BWE-Landesverband auf eine rege Teilnahme vor allem der bayerischen Unternehmen. "In Fürth geht es nicht nur um den Windenergiestandort, sondern vor allem auch um den zukünftigen Wirtschaftsstandort Bayern", hob Beermann hervor.
Eröffnet wird die Veranstaltung vom bayerischen Umweltminister Dr. Markus Söder und dem BWE-Präsidenten Hermann Albers. Erwartet werden darüber hinaus weitere Vertreter/innen aus Politik, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft. In drei Foren diskutieren Experten über "Potenziale der bayerischen Windbranche", über die Perspektiven für die Nutzung der Windkraft ("Woher der Wind in Bayern weht") sowie die Frage, ob und wie das Bundesland Bayern die Chancen der Windenergie nutzt (mit Energie-Experten aus den Landtagsparteien). Zahlreiche Unternehmen werden sich im Rahmen der Ausstellung "Bayernwind 2010" präsentieren.
