In addition to the co-owners and co-CEOs of the company Ayla, Sami and Kaya Busch, other leading representatives from Busch Vacuum Solutions and Pfeiffer Vacuum, both part of the Busch Group, were also present at the meeting.
Governor Youngkin thanked the Busch family for their commitment to Virginia Beach, the largest city in Virginia, where the Busch Group employs around 500 people:
„We are incredibly proud that Busch chose to locate its North American Headquarters and production facility in Virginia. It was a pleasure to visit the Busch Headquarters in Germany and we deeply value our longstanding partnership,“ he said.
The Busch Group has had a presence in Virginia Beach since the 1970s, with the sales office opening in 1975 and the production site in 1979.
During his six-day trip to Europe, Governor Youngkin visited companies in the German federal states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, as well as in Finland, Denmark and Switzerland. The companies he visited either already have a presence in Virginia or are planning to establish a branch in the U.S. state. The governor met with their CEOs to discuss potential investments in Virginia.
Glenn Youngkin is the 74th Governor of Virginia, a state in the east of the USA, since 2022.
