In addition, Canto used the event to highlight new business opportunities Cumulus 8 makes available to partners. The demonstration and presentations generated widespread enthusiasm throughout attendees, many citing Cumulus 8 as the strongest Cumulus update in memory.
“Canto showed that even with global economic concerns, they are one company that continues to move forward,” said Michael Gellner, co-founder of longtime Canto partner Modula4. “Partners came from all over the world for this, and I really think this says a lot about our excitement for this release.”
Ludovic Delobel from Canto partner Idea7 agreed. “Cumulus 8 really exceeded our expectations,” he said. “This is not just a collection of new features on an old product—this is really something new, and something we can sell. And our existing customers will be very pleased too.” Canto CEO, Ulrich Knocke, hosted the event.
“I really could not be happier with the meeting or our partners’ reactions,” he said. “We had partners come from as far away as Australia, Japan, Korea, North America, and we had 100% participation from local partners. This was really a great success.”
Marketing plans and technical details for Cumulus 8 were presented, and Canto partners XLent Solutions, Modula4 and Moksa took the opportunity to showcase their own Cumulus add-on products to fellow Canto partners.
Re-certification training for Cumulus 8 took place on the day following the meeting events, ensuring many Canto partners are prepared to provide immediate installation and support to their customers when Cumulus 8 ships this Summer.
