Nun wurde angeblich gegen den Leiter von Mossad, dem iraelischen Geheimdienstes, ein Haftbefehl ausgesprochen. Demnach soll Meir Dagan in den Mordkomplott involviert gewesen sein. 10 Männer und eine Frau, die in Dubai vor Ort an dem Auftragsmord beteiligt waren, stehen zudem auf sämtlichen Interpol-Fahndungslisten.
Dubai verkündete nun, dass die Sicherheitsmaßnahmen im Land erhöht werden sollen, um so die Touristen besser zu schützen. Der ermordete Mahmud al-Mabhouch stattete Dubai demzufolge nur einen kurzen Besuch ab und reiste als Tourist in das Land ein. Er wollte weiter nach China reisen und dann den Sudan besuchen.
Ob noch weitere Geheimdienste an dem scheinbar lang geplanten Mord beteiligt waren, werden die Ermittlungen zeigen.
