By fully integrating data layers into its Key2roam hub, the biggest roaming hub in the world with 130 live members, Comfone has simplified the implementation and maintenance of data roaming relations for mobile network operators.
The record breaking consumer use of mobile internet phones or smartphones is fuelling the rapid growth in data roaming traffic and is increasingly requiring mobile network operators to support mobile broadband applications, data content and internet access. In response to operators’ requirements for an increased data roaming footprint and based on growing user demand for data roaming service anytime and anywhere, Comfone has expanded beyond voice on its industry leading Key2roam hub and developed a simple, robust, secure and cost-effective Data Roaming solution. By accelerating the implementation of data roaming, Comfone can significantly increase operators’ data roaming footprint.
Testing of Comfone’s new Data Roaming solution is currently underway with three major mobile network operators in Europe and Africa and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter 2010. With the commercial launch scheduled for the second quarter 2010, Comfone will offer network operators a high quality Data Roaming solution requiring minimal implementation and resource investment.
