The K19 Children's Centre is a contact point for children and teenagers of all origins, nationalities and religions and offers disadvantaged children between the ages of six and twelve special after-school care services in the afternoons – whether sports, games, creative workshops or children's circus: the K19 encourages children's social skills, self-confidence and supports positive development. The children's centre is provided by the AGAPEDIA foundation, which was founded by Jürgen Klinsmann in 1995 and is active in Germany and Eastern Europe.
The cooperation between AV/IT distributor Exertis Pro AV (formerly COMM-TEC) from Uhingen and the K19 Children's Centre in Geislingen, which has been established in September 2021, is supposed to be a long-term partnership and to support the Children's Centre throughout the year with regular donations. As a prelude, the fundraising campaign "Exertis with Heart" was launched at Christmas 2021: The children of the K19 desired a new spiral slide and Exertis Pro AV, together with other donators, turned the wish into reality to make the children happy.
For the first official donation handover, Rainer Sprinzl, Managing Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Exertis Pro AV, as well as Mike Hommel, Head of Marketing at Exertis Pro AV, personally visited the children's centre and handed over a cheque in the amount of 5,000€.
"With the K19, the children have a loving place to go and a familiar haven in their leisure time. Here they can learn and find encouragement," says Mike Hommel. "I especially like the great networking opportunities for the children and the chance to pursue their preferences and hobbies and to discover and enjoy their talents, whether in sports or music. I am very pleased that we can support this valuable encouragement. This institution truly contributes to the development of our young people – this is also in line with our company values and matches wonderfully with Exertis Pro AV!”
Rainer Sprinzl is also very pleased about the partnership: “The K19 has long been a matter of personal importance to me. As a local company, I consider it as an important concern to support this foundation in a sustainable partnership throughout the year. I am very pleased that this has now succeeded and that we were able to realise the children's slide as a Christmas wish.”
