This scholarship supports particularly talented and capable students. In addition, the applicant's overall potential is taken into account, in particular:
• special achievements, awards and prizes, previous professional activities and internships
• out-of-school or extraordinary engagement such as voluntary work
• special personal or family circumstances
The scholarship is financed by the Federal Republic of Germany and a local donor. At the annual general scholarship celebrations of Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt (HSHL) on the campus Lippstadt, 35 scholarships were awarded (full scholarships & Germany scholarship).
The connector manufacturer CONEC Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH, based in Lippstadt, supports the scholarship holder Maximilian Krause, a student of the degree course in industrial engineering with a “Germany Scholarship” (Deutschlandstipendium).
As reasons for the award, Sven Holtgrewe, Managing Director at CONEC Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH, mentioned the recognition of the performance as well as the social commitment of the students. It is important to CONEC to familiarize young talents with the company at an early stage and to receive impulses from them.
In particular, small and medium-sized businesses can make an important contribution to the promotion of young talent by offering internships and research themes.
