From now on North American customers will be able to obtain ContiTech's full portfolio of industrial drive belt products through CRP, who will itself be stocking timing belts. Just this year, CRP opened a new 11,000 m² warehouse and administration building to keep stride with the company's relentless growth. "CRP Industries' top position on the market offers us an excellent basis for expanding our market activities," says Konrad Müller, general manager at ContiTech Power Transmission Group. "Customers profit from CRP's extensive dealer network and its outstanding technical competence born of years of experience in the field."
The history of CRP Industries Inc. is closely intertwined with that of ContiTech. The company is an off-shoot of Conti Rubber Products Inc. Adam T. Schildge founded the company in 1954 to help establish a foothold in the U.S. for products from the Hanover, Germany-based component supplier. Today CRP Industries is managed by the third generation of the family in the person of Daniel N. Schildge.
The ContiTech Power Transmission Group develops, produces and sells belts, components and complete belt systems for the automotive industry and many other industries worldwide. The company offers over 10,000 sizes for industrial applications alone, including high-performance timing belts, V-belts and V-ribbed belts.
