COMAC, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd., headquartered in Shanghai, awarded CTI Systems with the delivery of four teleplatform units and four double girder crane bridges for the painting of the new COMAC C919 narrow body aircraft in COMAC's new paint hangar. This is the first order that China's main aircraft manufacturer placed with CTI Systems.

Since 2002 CTI Systems has been active in China, mainly in the aviation branch, and in the last decade CTI could strengthen and enlarge its position in the Chinese market. The confidence COMAC showed by placing the order, demonstrates again that CTI Systems is renowned as worldwide leading supplier in the aviation sector. With more than 50 years of experience, CTI provides a complete product range of highly effective systems for aircraft manufacturing, painting and servicing. CTI is especially known for its installations of teleplatform and crane systems at worldwide major airlines and MRO companies with a market share of more than 90%.

COMAC functions as the main vehicle in implementing large passenger aircraft programs in China. It is also mandated with the overall planning of developing trunk liner and regional jet programs and realizing the industrialization of civil aircraft in China.

Technical experts of COMAC recently paid a visit to CTI in Lentzweiler/Luxembourg for the factory acceptance test of one of the four teleplatforms. Actually, before leaving CTI's production facility, the sophisticated systems are assembled and tested in full working order. CTI's equipment is designed and expected to meet high quality standards before it will be released for dispatch.

The teleplatform with a lifting height of 10800 mm and a working platform size of 6100 x 3550 mm was assembled in the test tower which was especially built for this purpose in 2005. Functional and operational checks on all components were carried out. Also the manufacturing quality was submitted for verification.

After nearly seven days of intensive examination, COMAC's experts were visibly satisfied with the result and were impressed by CTI's high level of engineering and manufacturing.
