Delta sponsors SOLIVIA Solar Inverter for the Energy and Light Park of EnBW

At the end of May 2011, the company EnBW Regional AG opened the Energy and Light Park in Rheinhausen. Six stations located in the park provide information about the various possibilities of renewable energy generation.

Delta Energy Systems (Germany) GmbH provided a SOLIVIA solar inverter for the area dedicated to photovoltaics, in order to give interested visitors a better understanding of photovoltaic technology.

The Energy and Light Park is located on the premises of the EnBW regional centre. It consists of a 200-metre marked trail offering information on the renewable energy generation possibilities - photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, biomass, wind power, geothermal energy and hydroelectric power. A second focal point of the park is the presentation of modern street lighting systems and directional lighting of objects and buildings. In addition to visual aids, functional models and exhibits are also presented in order to offer the visitors an overall view of the respective technology. According to Michael Gutjahr, head of the regional centre, the park will continue to develop constantly in order to keep visitors up to date.

Andreas Schmidt, Head of Marketing at Delta Energy Systems (Germany) GmbH, emphasizes the importance of regional projects which give visitors expert explanations on cutting-edge renewable energy sources. “Today, the continuously growing number of possibilities represents a new challenge for home owners and home owners of the future. It is not always easy to decide which type of energy supply is “right” for you personally. Energy Parks clearly explain the different possibilities and thus can help people to make the right choice”.

Visits and guided tours can be arranged with the EnBW regional centre in Rheinhausen (Tel. +49 7643 808 0).
