Digital-Logic AG, Luterbach/Switzerland is adding a 15" LCD monitor, which is mounted on the MICROSPACE PC as a compact unit, to its MICROSPACE PC series. The new screen is based on a TFT Active Matrix Display and has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels with 256 colours. The display brightness is 200 cd/m2 and the screen has a bright, high-contrast LCD module with a contrast ratio of 250:1. In addition, the LCD monitor has a DDC2B plug and play interface, which makes it easy to install. It requires a 100 V to 240 V power supply and the power consumption is max. 25 W. In accordance with the requirements of TCO 99, this is a very low-radiation screen which also easily complies with the new ergonomic standards defined in ISO 13046-2 with minimum energy consumption. The 15" screen weighs approx. 2.9 kg and measures 387 mm x 330 mm x 175 mm; it has a stable foot which can be mounted on the housing of the MICROSPACE-PC, turning the LCD screen and MICROSPACE-PC into a powerful, efficient unit.
The compact design and the clear display that's easy on the eyes means that this screen is suitable for use in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications, including banks, insurance companies, laboratories, hospitals and medical practices. With its reduced depth and slim, lightweight design, the PC/screen unit can be used in even the most confined spaces, leaving plenty of room for essentials. The LCD monitor including adapter costs € 879 plus VAT and can be ordered together with the appropriate MICROSPACE-PC.
Small and quiet – the MICROSPACE-PC
The MICROSPACE-PC is one of the smallest and quietest PCs. It is based on a fast 700 MHz Pentium III or Celeron processor, a 128 or 256 Mbyte memory respectively and all important interfaces. For mass storage media, the PC is equipped with a 2.5" hard disk with at least 20 Gbyte capacity and a CD or DVD drive. Additional peripheral devices and mass storage media such as a digital camera, CD-RW and DVD-RW can be connected via USB or Firewire-IEEE1394 interfaces. For rapid communication in networks, a 100/10Base-T-Interface (RJ45) has been integrated. For screen display, either an analogue or LCD-SVGA monitor can be used or a television can be connected as the display unit. Further functions such as ISDN-Modem, sound, IrDa interface etc. have been integrated in the MICROSPACE-PC. The MICROSPACE-PC is compatible with every other Pentium III PC and all standard PC software can be installed. As standard, Windows ME is pre-installed making the PC ready for immediate use. All necessary drivers for WIN-NT, WIN2000, WIN-ME are included on a CD.
