An extended function is an integrated LCD panel to display real-time data e.g. at stops. This modification of a simplified dynamic passenger information system is characterized by its cost efficiency. With the integration of a vandalism proof pushbutton the user has the possibility to switch the content itself at site. Several images can be hold from which the user can choose. An additional feature is text-to-speech. Here again there is an integrated pushbutton which reads out loud the content while operating. In doing so, it is also possible to announce special information operated from a central station. The new features can be seen at the ground of dresden elektronik where a showpark is located. Moreover new pages of the web presence of dresden elektronik provide the possibility to become familiar with the innovations. On the one hand technical aspects get described and on the other hand application scenarios are illustrated.
