Within this, flexible applications should be ensured in all production areas – and in the sense of wireless control with ZigBee, a ZigBee 3.0-supporting and thus a future-proof module generation is preferable.
All these requirements are fulfilled by the new OEM module series in 2nd generation, which is now presented by dresden elektronik. The modules of deRFsamR21 series offer developers and OEMs outstanding advantages in the world of energy-efficient short-range wireless control.
Whether in terminals, gateways, for lighting solutions, in the field of building automation, for a smart position and level measurement, or in the field of smart metering - the possibilities for using these small modules are numerous.
With the new deRFsamR21 series from dresden elektronik, customers get a powerful ARM® Cortex® M0 + 32-bit microcontroller with integrated 2.4 GHz transceiver, which is suitable for future ZigBee 3.0 projects. With 256KB internal flash, the deRFsamR21 provides enough space for extensive programs - the 4-MBit DataFlash also allows firmware updates via radio (OTAU). The second-generation of OEM wireless modules have an optimized footprint with solderable side contacts in the 50 mil / 1.27 mm grid - for good soldering and repairability. Thus dresden elektronik offers customers the possibility to use modules with Zigbee 3.0 firmware.
You can get a first impression of the innovative modules in just a few weeks. From 14.03 - 16.03.2017, dresden elektronik presents itself and the new modules at the embedded world in Nuremberg. In addition to the wide range of services and solutions in the EEMS area, dresden elektronik also presents its visitors the advantages of the deRFsamR21 series.
Already in the second quarter of 2017, the first version without firmware will appear on the market.
