As the leading supplier for ultrasonic ICs in parking assistance systems, Elmos shows, among other things, products for reliable and safe object detection for autonomous driving. New concepts for smart switches make the next generation of gesture control tangible for trade visitors. In addition, Elmos demonstrates a cost-efficient and highly integrated LiDAR system solution for precise environment detection.
Ultrasonic distance measurement: Modern assistance systems require interference-free, precise and reliable near field detection of objects around the vehicle, independent of light and weather conditions. Ultrasonic sensor ICs are a key component for the sensor fusion in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as well as for autonomous driving in cities. A new demonstrator will be on display at the fair to showcase the benefits and functionality of next-generation ultrasonic sensor ICs.
LiDAR: For requirements of future ADAS systems, autonomous driving, and also for industrial applications, Elmos presents a cost-efficient solid state LiDAR concept for short- and mid-range environment detection in smallest installation spaces. The new Elmos LiDAR Cam demonstrator with higher resolution makes precise and reliable detection tangible.
Gesture recognition: Elmos HALIOS® ICs enable optical detection of hand movements using infrared technology. With invisible surface switches (smart switches) that become visible only when approached, operating concepts can be integrated easily. As a pioneer for touchless control solutions based on HALIOS® Elmos presents innovative concepts for gesture control at Sensor+Test.
Pressure and flow measurement: Elmos will show demonstrators on site for the precise determination of flow rate, temperature, and concentration, ensuring that systems such as air conditioners and heaters function correctly and efficiently.
