Surrounded by the old walls of the Heiligkreuztal Monastery, almost 80 persons met in order to share their ideas with each other. Whether yoga, management, piano playing or a monastery tour, there were interesting workshops for all. Richard Manuel, holder of the 'Manager of the Year 2007' award, talked about the family-oriented organisation. Davide Martello, improvisation talent on the piano, led those interested into the joy of piano playing. Margaret Fait, who came specially to this event from Massachusetts USA, talked about the international volunteer organisation SCI (Service Civil International).
During lunch, announced punctually by the bell toll at a quarter to twelve, all could exchange their experiences, about their ideas, their lives or just about the weather. And there was enough opportunity for that as the rain and snow outside showed its typical April moods. Despite the cold storms, everybody was wonderfully cosy in the warm community atmosphere, which soon built up between those that met for the first time. Richard Manuel the CEO of the software firm Perbit from Trossingen and other firms had invited their employees to the event. Also many others travelled from even as far away as Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Ireland, Kazakhstan, USA and India.
The weekend was declared a massive success by all those who took part and will be repeated next year from 14th-17th June 2009 (it has also been extended to give possibility for yet more scope).
ILBS warmly invites you to take part and book early as places are limited.
