Automechanika will take place in Frankfurt from 16–20 September. Billed as “the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive industry”, it is expected to attract around 150,000 visitors. Exide will be positioned in Hall 3.1 at stand F10. The new Exide range will be a big attraction at the event, as the pace of innovation in the battery market continues to accelerate.
Exide will announce its next-generation AGM and EFB batteries, designed for cars with Start-Stop and other modern fuel-saving features. The new range was first developed in Exide’s original-equipment business and meets the strict requirements of carmakers.
Premium is Exide’s top battery for cars with conventional powertrains. The next-generation Premium will include Exide’s proprietary Carbon Boost technology, to be shown for the first time at Automechanika.
BMW DTM racing driver Marco Wittmann will make an appearance at the Exide stand. Exide is an Official Partner of BMW Motorsport in the DTM, and Wittmann is currently leading the DTM Driver Championship. Attendees are invited to meet and greet the driver, and a BMW DTM M4 show car will be positioned at the stand throughout the event.
Automechanika will host two open days targeted at workshops. Exide will show the power of its new online solutions, including new ways to discover and select the right battery. The battery giant will also present its whole range of tools and services designed to support workshops in their daily work.
