Fronius International GmbH has been giving its customers the opportunity to extend the warranty period for inverters for up to 20 years since September 1, 2009. This includes all existing inverter series: Fronius IG, Fronius IG Plus and Fronius IG central inverters. This is yet another way for Fronius to highlight its high quality standards as a manufacturer of grid-connected PV inverters.

Fronius International GmbH is so sure of the quality of its solar inverters that it has been offering extended warranties for all Fronius IG and Fronius IG Plus inverters since September 1.
Fronius inverters with nominal outputs of 1.3 to 40 kilowatts come standard with a five-year manufacturer's warranty. In the past, this could be extended to 10 years for the Fronius IG and Fronius IG Plus string inverter series. The company has now topped even this and has been offering additional extended warranties for 15 or 20 years for Fronius IG and Fronius IG Plus devices since September.
The warranty period for Fronius IG central inverters can now also be extended to 10 or 20 years. This guarantees that system operators can have devices repaired or replaced even after the standard warranty period has expired. The extended warranty can also be applied retroactively to inverters that were manufactured after January 1, 2009.
"These extended warranties of 15 or 20 years take us another step closer towards providing even better customer service and customer satisfaction. Flexibility and quality are thus combined perfectly," says Hannes Wendeler, Sales Manager Fronius International GmbH.
