The IU4 solution will be implemented across Europe within the next three years. Eight Campofrio group companies will use the solution under a pay-per-use model. The solution will provide complete system management of components, including infrastructure provisioning, operating systems management, databases, middleware and SAP applications, all under a transparent, flexible system linked directly to the company's fluctuation in business volumes.
According to Fabio di Capua, IST Enterprise Operations Director of Campofrio Food Group: «We worked hard to select the best company for this project. We evaluated all vendors on more than 100 different elements and Fujitsu came out on top in basically all our criteria. Fujitsu has been able to create the strongest team that has shown how to understand and identify our needs better, especially following the enormous transformation that we have experienced through the acquisition of eight of the most important meat companies in Europe. In addition, Fujitsu's proposed infrastructure allows us to drive the future of our company in a flexible way, and easily integrate new businesses.»
The proposal presented to Campofrio by the Japanese multinational includes a relationship model that provides variable billing in support of SAP transactions and a working model with a solid team. According to Alejandro Jiménez, Outsourcing Director at Fujitsu in Spain: «Knowing the Campofrio Food Group business and its expansion plans in depth was crucial to understanding how to adapt our offer to the company's current and future specific needs, and ensured that Fujitsu was selected as a partner, in a bid process that involved the world's largest IT companies.
