Following the publication of ISO/IEC 15504 as a full International Standard, the focus of activity in standards development has grown to cover the development of new Process Assessment Models, and approaches to the assessment of Organizational Maturity. Along with this is a growing need to promote interoperability and interchange between different approaches to assessment.
A specific focus in the 2008 Conference will be on the assessment of organizational maturity, particularly addressing higher levels of maturity, within the context of ISO/IEC 15504. A special focus will also be given to the application and improvement of certain key development processes, such as Testing, Requirements Engineering and Project Management.
Robert Treffny, Vice-president of gasq: “It is a great honor and challenge for us to be allowed to organize that important conference for the first time in Nuremberg!” The decision for Nuremberg also shows the importance of that metropolitan area on the field of software quality in general and supports the numerous activities in Bavaria.
The conference takes place 26 – 28 May 2008 in the Hilton Nuremberg Conference Hotel. There are different possibilities for sponsoring and exhibiting. More information on “SPICE 2008” can be found on the official conference website http://www.spice2008.com.
